Our Goals and Missions
A Message from our Founder, Raya
The Peaceful Minds Initiative was founded to support teenage immigrants and refugees adapting to life in the United States, with a focus on their mental health and well-being. Inspired by my grandparents' immigration from the Dominican Republic, India, and Hungary, I felt compelled to help these young people thrive, not just survive.
Since receiving our 501(c)(3) status in late August, we have raised over $3,000, collected 360+ articles of clothing and shoes, and purchased 300 items to support mental health. We’ve partnered with local organizations for ongoing collaboration and plan to connect with teenage immigrants through community events. I am committed to our mission and invite you to join us in making a difference.
